Frogfish, Ghostpipes, Batfish in groups, Anemon, and Lizardfish. Sometimes when it is calm you can even see whale sharks passing by. Fusiliers are also found in schools.
Kawasan Falls
The Kawasan Falls are multi-layered waterfalls on the River Kawasan in Badian, Cebu, in the Philippines. The water for the Kawasan Falls comes from the Kabukalan Spring and passes through the Kawasan gorge en route to the Matutinao River and the Tanon Strait.
Sumilon island
Sumilon Island is one of the best-kept secret paradises just 20 minutes by boat from the popular town of Oslob in Cebu. It's the best day trip or overnight stay you can do when exploring the southern region of Cebu
Whale sharks tours
Swimming with whale sharks in Cebu is a popular activity that allows you to get up close and personal with these gentle giants of the sea. The whale sharks in Cebu are known for their large size, often reaching up to 30 feet in length, and their unique markings.
To swim with whale sharks in Cebu, you would typically take a boat to a designated area where the whale sharks are known to gather. Once there, you would be given a briefing on how to safely interact with the whale sharks and be provided with snorkeling gear. You would then enter the water and swim alongside the whale sharks.
The experience of swimming with whale sharks in Cebu is often described as awe-inspiring and humbling. Being in the water with such massive creatures can make you feel very small, but also very connected to the natural world. It is important to remember to be respectful of the whale sharks and to follow the guidelines set out by the tour operator to ensure both your safety and the well-being of the animals.
Historic Ruins of Oslob
Oslob is a coastal town in the province of Cebu, Philippines that is home to a number of historic ruins that offer a glimpse into the town's rich cultural and architectural heritage. One of the most notable ruins in Oslob is the Cuartel, which was built by the Spanish colonial government in the late 19th century as a barracks for soldiers. The Cuartel is a long, rectangular building with arched windows and doorways, and although it is now in a state of disrepair, it still retains much of its original charm and character.
Another historic ruin in Oslob is the Baluarte, which was a fortification built during the Spanish period to protect the town from pirates and other intruders. The Baluarte is now mostly in ruins, but it still stands as a testament to Oslob's history and the importance of the town as a strategic location during the colonial era.
Visitors to Oslob can also explore the ruins of the Immaculate Conception Church, which was built in the early 1800s and served as a center of religious and cultural life in the town for many years. The church was heavily damaged during World War II, but some parts of the structure still remain, including the bell tower and the front facade.
Overall, the historic ruins of Oslob offer a fascinating glimpse into the town's past and are a must-see for anyone interested in history or architecture.
Tumalog Falls
Tumalog falls on Cebu Island is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines. The sheer size of the waterfall makes it an incredible place to visit. Due to the somewhat remote location of Tumalog falls in South Cebu it was only discovered in 2012, but thankfully the waterfall is now easily accessible by road.
